about

This was one of the last songs written for our EP Stint. Originally we started out with an idea from a guitar riff. But somehow when we played around with a Carbon synth, the song evolved into something else.

"Glasgow" is about the symptoms of alienation from the world-- the ultimate symptoms being fear, ignorance, and the hurt brought on. It's a cry to simply *be* human, and recognize that others should be perceived the same.

lyrics

Pierre of Ardley walks alone tonight,
Tossing the pebbles and stones of his past life.
If he could smile, he would smile for a while,
But when he opens just enough to sigh,
It tears him up inside.

Glasgow smile.

Pierre of Ardley walks alone tonight.
Leaving the prisons and pains of his past life.
An alien cry from heaven,
He figures, it's all a given.
He says, "I wanna try to make it on my own."

"With a Glasgow Smile..."

Every motion, kills your heart.
Like tendered orphans, we don't know where to start.

Being a human,
Taste, like a human
Breathe, like a human.
See the world from my front door.

Touch like a human.
Taste like a human.
Feel like a human.
Go where no one's gone before.

But I'll never change.
